This painting has the same composition, more or less as Romy. I wanted to give her a stronger gaze. The reason I called it Vesper has to do with the gaze she has now.
I was looking at her and her gaze made me remind of someone. It took me two days to remeber me who I was looking at. Vesper.
Look her up in the James Bond film ‘Casino Royal’. The moment they sail into Venice. Both completely happy with their found love for eachother. In a glance she sees this man with the one dark glass in front of his eye. Her gaze changes directly, not her body posture. As the viewer we know her luck has come to an end. In an instant she remebers her past and her assignment.
