The startingpoint for this ‘Into the rabbithole’ was a very unusual one. I picked three tubes of paint I hardly use. I bought them because of specifics I didn’t find when I started to use them. So they are laying around and doing nothing. The other thing is that I wanted to use a spatula in my paintings and I wanted to experiment with it.
With ‘Into the rabbithole’ I started with the orange at the bottom, some brown here, spread with the spatula. Because it’s watercolorpaint, it was time to add the water and make use of the quality of the paper. From that point on the painting came to life and I started seeing things.
