My stay for four months in Andalucia-Spain gave me the opportunity to visit the most iconic cities of this province. They all have their own charm and attraction. I allready painted a compilation of the Mezquita and Alhambra and I didn’t want to make a painting of all these cities. What to do than?
I mixed them together. I you have been before to Andalucia, you probably will recognise a lot and maybe it will bring back sweet memories.
I followed the placement of the cities, more or less of the province to place them in this painting. So starting in the upper left there is Sevilla. The setas, bridge and water with boat of the Plaza d’ España, Giralda tower and Teatro de la Maestranza. Left under: the boat of the castle for Columbus in Benalmádena, bridge of Ronda with toreador. Back to the upper middle: Outer wall of the Mezaquita with innerpart, façade of Jedea quarters, a bit further down, Arch of Antequera. Mid below: Malagá. Picasso, city atmosphere with Markethall arch and boat of the stained glass façade. Centre Pompidou, Jacarande tree and wall art on large building close to the central station.

The olive tree is from Frigiliana, a small town in the hills close to Nerja and lower right corner is La Cala del Moral, the place where I stayed.
